For some people November is the start of winter or the end of autumn. For others it might be the beginning of the holiday season as they begin listening to Christmas music. Others participate in the month-long celebration of writing called NaNoWriMo. In my college town, November was a major wedding season. No matter what you do doesn’t change the holiday at the end of the month celebrated in a handful of countries around the world – Thanksgiving.
I’ve followed blogs that do this and have other friends who do this for themselves, so this year I’ve decided to share some of the things I’m thankful for. Each day up to and including Thanksgiving I’ll post things I’m grateful for with accompanying anecdotes. There will be serious posts and fun random posts. I’ll share adventures along the way that relate or give an example of what I’m talking about for the day. I hope you don’t leave or tune out just because these won’t all be like my usual posts about travel and adventure. So, that leads me to day one …
Day 1 – You, the readers of my blog
I’m thankful for you! Thanks for reading. Thanks for subscribing, following and sharing. If it were just my family and friends that’d be great but I know some of you are complete strangers in faraway places. I would write and share my adventures even if you didn’t follow, but having readers makes it more enjoyable and exciting.
I hope that you stick around and share my adventures with others, but most of all I hope you’re inspired to go have your own adventures, and this month that you’re reminded of a few things you’re thankful for. Please feel free to share what you’re thankful for in the comments section below.
