Thanksgiving Day 21: My Faith

by kevinearl | posted in: Holidays, Thanksgiving | 0

I write about things I’m grateful for without talking about my faith and family. They both shaped me to who I am today and encourage me to go on in times of difficulty. Since today and tomorrow are the last … Continued

Thanksgiving Day 14: The Temple

by kevinearl | posted in: Holidays, Religious Sites, Thanksgiving, Travel | 2

I am grateful for temples. I love to visit places of worship while traveling and learning about others’ believes. But, I especially love visiting places of worship that I personally hold sacred. If you’ve been enjoying my blog for a … Continued

Thanksgiving Day 12: Serving a Mission

by kevinearl | posted in: Adventure, Historic Site, Holidays, Photography, Thanksgiving, Travel | 3

For those who don’t know, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a Mormon. Don’t turn away. This post won’t be preachy, super-religious or political, so don’t worry. Today, I want to share a … Continued

An Easter thought and poem

by kevinearl | posted in: Poetry & Musings | 2

Peter’s Denial and Ours – Deny him? No, how could I? He is my master, My Rabboni. – “You, you spent time with him in Galilee!” Me, no, never! No sir, not I. – I did it, Denied my lord. My heart … Continued

The Best of Salt Lake Kevin is a wonderful guide. He has knowledge of the area and history. Most important he has the ability to relate the information. To top it off, he is an accomplished author and illustrator of children's books. When visiting this unique city Kevin is the man to show you around.

Great informational tour of downtown Salt Lake City My brother and I wanted to learn more about the city we live in and Kevin's Historic Houses of Worship tour was an excellent choice. He gave us an overview of some of the churches we've only seen in passing; he has an obvious passion and interest in the old buildings in downtown Salt Lake City and their place in our history. Highly recommended tour.

Salt Lake City Historic Houses of Worship Walking Tour We did the "Salt Lake City Historic Houses of Worship Walking Tour" Jan. 29. The thing I found most interesting (since I have lived in SLC all my life) is how early and how many other religions were here in the early part of the state. We often think of Utah as just a "Mormon" state. Enjoyed the ones we were able to go inside and see the beautiful stained glass. Kevin knew lots of the interesting facts about the different religions.
